A ''C Level job'' is a person who works as an executive for a company. They are the upper management or the executives of a company. The ''C'' comes from the job title. For example the CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), and COO (Chief Operating Officer). These job titles might also include some others that don't exactly start with a ''C'' such as VP (Vice President) and STO (Senior Technical Officer).

These people are the big wigs; they’ve made it to the top. They’re the boss. They’re in charge. How do YOU get to be one of THEM?

What is a person with a C Level job’s Responsibilities?

Let’s pick one C Level job and exemplify. Let’s pick the one at the very top, which is the CEO or the Chief Executive Officer. They are the highest ranking corporate officer, the boss of the bosses. They are in charge of all the management of a company, an organization or an agency. Everybody in the company reports to them, and they report to a board of directors.

The CEO develops a strategic plan to lead the company in the right direction. This includes overseeing that all operations promote efficiency, revenue, quality, service and the company’s overall growth. They oversee all financial interactions, including the budget and fundraising. They make sure human resources aspects conform to current laws.
