Chief Executive Officer Jobs description
A chief executive officer, or CEO, is the head of his or her organization. (A CEO may also be referred to as a president, chairperson, or managing director.) A CEO is responsible for the management of his or her company, for ensuring success, and for making sure that that the company's operations are performed in an efficient and effective manner. A chief executive officer is accountable to the company's board of directors as regards the company’s profitability and to government regulators in regards to complying with government regulations and policies. The CEO also acts as the public face of the organization, and is responsible for ensuring a positive image and for maintaining good public and investor relations.Serious applicants for CEO positions should have at least 12 years of high-level management experience and be results-oriented. Those who have experience working as a vice president, president, managing director, chief operations officer, executive director, senior vice president, or executive vice president are most likely to have success when applying for CEO positions.
