Job Description

Human Capital Strategy


Data-Driven: Develop and execute data-driven short- and long-term human capital strategies that align to, and support, the achievement of business unit and company objectives. Through storytelling, share a compelling vision of the collective actions you and the extended team you support can take to cultivate and develop the talent and skills needed to exceed short- and long-term business goals.

Organizational Architecture: Drive change necessary to plan now for the future of work for the business organization supported. This requires understanding the strategy, the availability and caliber of talent needed to operationalize and execute it, as well as the system framework in the organization to allow for the alignment of teams. You must be good at both the 'What' and the 'How' and be able to accelerate collective movement forward toward achieving shared business objectives.

Coach and Thought Partner: Act as advisor and coach to executive peers on opportunities to drive the business forward through human capital and organizational health efforts. This requires speaking the language of the business and knowing how to engage your peers in the right way, at the right time, to proactively contribute to meeting business objective through human capital strategies. Able to question and challenge the status quo and present alternative thoughts and approaches to leaders as well as support the need to build teams to execute.

Business Case Development: Partner with senior leadership team to develop business cases to support human capital expenditures to drive the business forward while managing to the long range plan and P&L demands.


Employee Experience and Engagement


Culture Champion: Foster and reinforce a culture of inclusion and psychological safety for direct and extended team and build skills in others to do the same. Be trusted at all levels of the organization because of how you bring authenticity and live our leadership behaviors in all interactions. Be collaborative, persuasive, and an impactful communicator who invites diverse perspectives with the purpose of driving innovation.

Employee Experience Optimization: Regularly connect with all levels of employees, especially frontline, in 1:1 & small group interactions, in their work environment, to gain insight into the employee experience. Provide observed & data driven insights on how we can continue to evolve the Employee Journey at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. at the local & enterprise level. Conduct organizational health assessments to develop plans to address barriers to team & organizational performance.

Change Agent: Lead change management initiatives to support the employee experience & drive employee engagement at all levels. Champion & deliver, inspiring communications, to engage all levels of employees toward a collective vision of the future of work.

Talent Intelligence: Regularly explore external trends, projections, and learnings on developing, attracting, cultivating, and retaining talent and share insights and recommendations with the business and the broader HR Community.

Risk Management: Identify and articulate risks and opportunities related to employee engagement and highlight downstream impacts for decisions that could impact the employee experience. Maintains confidentiality and able to handle sensitive matters. Ensure all employment practices are in compliance with human resources, regulatory requirements, including but not limited to AAP, EEOC, ADA, and FLSA legislation and any other applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.


Talent Development


HR Operating Model: Establish expectations for, and demonstrate through your own actions, a 'One-HR' mindset, helping to drive success across the enterprise. Educate and direct leaders and team on self-service and shared services resources to use that empower them for retinue human resource management needs. Based on your foundational knowledge from your past experience and/or learning, provide counsel, support, and connections for more complex or unique human resource situations. Ask the right questions to diagnose the support to seek and know when to engage your expert partners in Employee Shared Services, Compensation, Talent and Learning, Labor, Employee Engagement, and Finance.

Executive Leadership: Provide coaching and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives supported. When needed, step in to manage daily business as key member of the senior leadership team.

Champion Life-Long Learning: Champion DE&I, leadership, and professional learning and development activities within the business and demonstrate how they tie to improved results and employee engagement. In partnership with the Learning and Talent organizations, offer and promote both hands-on and formal learning opportunities for direct reports as well as business leaders you support.

Grow Talent: Develop consulting, strategy, data driven storytelling, the ability to live our leadership behaviors, and coaching skills for all those within your organization. Support leaders in building high performance teams. Assess and develop the skills, patience, and competency of our people leaders to drive teammate engagement and productivity and, ultimately - the growth and retention of our workforce
