Job Description
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
Number of Direct Reports: up to 15
Communicates with:
Internal: Partners with other Planning members, Strategic Resources, Broadcast Partners, Finance and Human Resources
External: Significant Client and Vendor interaction and accountability
Budgetary Responsibilities:
Responsible for budgeting, controlling costs, planning and scheduling around cost concerns for business unit
Responsible for strategic media development and vision for one major client.
Setting the tone for client service.
Driving organic growth and promote Cross Agency services and products
Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategy to define the future direction of account
Resource for others in defining high level strategy for subsidiaries/business unit
Responsible for designing and managing projects and resources for subsidiaries/business unit
Overseeing media plan development and take strategic lead on plans for group/account.
Interagency lead.
Partner with senior clients
Ability to sell in and simplify for client
Identify efficiencies
Participate in Senior Strategy Leadership teams and projects
Lead New Business
P&L responsibility
Evaluates composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience. Effectively communicates and solicits agreement of best opportunities for clients
Supervising, training and developing staff (managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management)
Providing staffing recommendation and daily supervision to all accounts
Directs the long-range planning and development of programs to ensure best use of organizational resources
Serves as leadership and content development coordinator for all client presentations
Participates in new business efforts including development of new business opportunities and new business pitches
Responsible for designing and managing projects and resources for account
Serves as key Resource for others in defining high level strategy for subsidiaries/business unit

Proven experience and success in presenting plans to client and influencing top level client decisions related to media strategy and implementation
Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills
Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations
Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Bachelors Degree
12 years media planning experience
Progressively responsible experience in people management and leadership
Business Competencies:
Possess advanced knowledge of the fundamental concepts and practices (Fluency with Media Tools a minimum familiarity with Digital Planning tools)
Develop, implement and execute strategy to define future direction business unit
Guide others in defining high level strategy for business unit
Plan, conduct, assign and meet obligations for business unit
Design and manage projects, resources, stakeholders, participants and deadlines for business unit
Develop and learn advanced skills in area of specialization
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring of employees within business unit
Manage a budget, control costs, plan and schedule around cost concerns for business unit
Manage multiple segments and functional areas for business unit
Design and manage projects, resources, stakeholders, participants and deadlines for business unit
Direct long-range planning and the development of programs to maximize organizational resources
