Current Need Company Medical-Surgical is seeking a Sales “hunter”.  Are you a sales leader with at least 8 years’ experience calling on Supply Chain for Health Systems for the West Coast If so, read on… The VP Business Development, Health Systems will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales to very specific high revenue, complex, multi-service customers in the health systems market that will have a major strategic impact to the success of Company Medical-Surgical.  Join a company that is consistently recognized for being best in class.A Fortune “Most Admired” CompanyA LinkedIn “Top Attractor”A Business Insider ‘25 Best Healthcare Companies to Work for in America”A Human Rights Campaign “Best Places to Work” for LGBT workplace equalityA military and disability friendly workplaceA “Top 25” company for Employee Resource GroupsKey Responsibilities Prospect Conversion  Responsible for the master strategy to develop and close sales within identified strategic health systems targets.Create account plans detailing business case, support and contractual requirements, opportunities, expansion strategies, required resources, decision makers and influencers. Build relationships with key leaders and influencers to drive acceptance and use of MMS offerings through alignment with customer goalsGather data on health system goals, marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing to capitalize on selling opportunitiesProvide education to C Suite on MCK offering through joint goal alignment and  multi-business unit opportunities Maintain for first year  Coordinate implementation with Project Management surrounding service and support roles/functions to serve client needs both corporately and in field locations, including but not limited to onboarding activities, IT implementation, billing, and designed service modelPosition DescriptionResponsible for new business sales. Conducts opportunity assessment for all accounts and defines overall account strategy. Develops high level relationships with key decision makers (C-suite relationships beyond CIO and departmental directors). Develops One Company account plans for all customers, inclusive of everything within account. Designs solutions and negotiates or navigates the contracting process. Manages customer satisfaction and proactively resolves customer issues. Understands customer processes and decision drivers as well as their current and future needs. Identifies new ways of creating value with customers. Able to articulate ROI of products. Coordinates with other department success teams and shares new business opportunities. Coordinates with other support and service teams at account. Establishes, maintains and coordinates technical dialogue between departments. Reviews holistic account performance biannually. Qualifications Minimum Requirements8 years of new account sales experienceCritical Skills8 years’ experience selling to health systems in the West Coast  (including experience calling on Supply Chain and C-Suite) and must have established, current relationshipsMust be able to share examples of providing sales support to large, complex customers that integrate a variety of sales solutionsExperience creating ROI's and financial business casesProven track record of relevant successful sales experience with ability to submit a portfolio or brag bookMust have strong executive level negotiation skills and ability to provide support during contract negotiationStrong communication skills, written and verbalAbility to work cross-functionally in matrix environmentMust have working understanding of GPO'sAbility in assigned region, up to 60% Additional Knowledge & SkillsEstablished relationships with large networking such as groups AHRMM and SMI Education4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experienceLicensureValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordPhysical RequirementsAbility to drive or fly in assigned region up to 60%Ability to operate and carry a laptop
