Description

Prudential Financial is seeking a proven executive to lead
Operations for the International Insurance businesses.  The Vice President, Head of
Operation reports to the Head of Prudential International Insurance (PII)
Operations and Systems.  This critical
role is responsible for partnering with country leaders across multiple
international businesses to define and execute strategic and tactical objectives
that enable profitable growth, enhance the customer experience, develops
operations leadership talent and leverages technologies to modernize and
simplify operational processes. 

Key
Job Responsibilities and Professional Attributes

Establish a multi-year operations business transformation strategy
and prioritize strategic capabilities for international businesses.  Transfer deep domain knowledge,
leverage best practices and impart subject matter expertise to drive meaningful
change. Engage and motivate operations team and country leaders to
understand, embrace and drive the implementation of PII’s Digital Strategy; effectively
capitalize on operational benefits of data assets and advanced technology
initiatives.  Develop talent strategy that facilitates professional growth,
optimizes talent placement for critical positions and enables viable succession
planning. Coach, mentor and educate direct reports and country operations
leaders to enhance knowledge, broaden experience and elevate skills in
operations management methodologies. Oversee deep dive operational assessments with
accountability for driving improvements in service, cost and quality. Partner with country operations leaders, Risk, and
Compliance to ensure robust operational controls and standards are in place and
that operational leadership possesses a control conscious mindset. Maintain and monitor key performance indicators and resource
capacity models to drive operational efficiency and optimal allocation of
resources.Apply deep domain technical knowledge and experience e.g. organizational
redesign, workforce management and vendor governance, to solve difficult
business challenges.Support M&A activities
including conducting due diligence for operations functions','!*!Demonstrated success as an Operations Management executive.A minimum of 15 years of experience in Operations Management, including leading large complex organizations across multiple operational functions in the financial services and / or insurance industry. Hands-on experience in implementing operational strategies and driving transformational change through innovation and modernized technologies. Proven experience in managing several concurrent operational excellence initiatives across multiple countries, diverse cultures, and in different languages. Also possesses experience evaluating in-flight projects and making recommendations that lead to measurable improvements and mitigation of business risk. Views talent as a differentiator and has demonstrated experience and success in attracting, coaching and developing teams and individuals. Demonstrable commitment to project management disciplines, quality control, change management and leading-edge technologies is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect, build relationships and influence business leaders, across all levels, in a multi-national company.International operations management experience is essentialSubstantial international travel is requiredWillingness to consider an overseas assignment, if necessary is desirable. Prior experience in M&A activities is preferred.
