The ideal candidate has a well-rounded operations background and successful track record of leading high-growth, diverse Professional Services teams. The VP, Professional Services will have a strong grasp on the mechanics of a P&L, implement strategies focused on high quality deployments of complex products, expertly navigate demand versus capacity, and maintain high levels of client retention and satisfaction.Essential Job Responsibilities:Maintain, manage, and grow client relationships through the implementation of successful programs and processesManage objectives and key results of the services organization, including utilization, bookings, revenue, margins, client satisfaction, and associate engagementLead a professional services function, comprised of teams of business and technical consultants and project managersInfluence with impact and lead across matrixed organizations, including Sales, Product Management, and Development teamsBalance business demand across client delivery, revenue growth and effective risk managementEnsure that staffing levels are adequate to meet the internal resource demand (for both new sales and backlog) while maintaining appropriate levels of team utilizationCollaborate with Product Management and Development organizations to advance the product sets based on customer and/or market needs.Advise Sales team on how to respond to customer requirements as it relates to supported functionality with the product linePartner with Sales to craft and win dealsProvides strategic vision as it relates to growth opportunities for the businessProvide clear and accurate visibility into revenue forecasting (monthly and quarterly)Manage the monthly close for Professional Service revenue, including recognition of revenue and reconciliationProvide guidance to finance and accounting team members related to the accounting of terms and conditions in statements of work and Professional Services contractsResponsible for the continual improvement of procedures and processes with the focus on improving quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing riskEnsure adherence to implementation standard procedures and best practices.Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to team; drive engagement, development opportunity, and recruitmentPerform other duties as requiredPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSJob-Related Experience:10 years of experience in the financial services or software industry required, a substantial amount of which must have involved implementation and/or consulting servicesDemonstrates strong P&L management capabilities including revenue and expense forecasting and controlManagement Experience:10 years of experience in people management7 years project management experienceExcellent leadership skills and ability to motivate employees to perform at peak standardsA hands-on approach to clients and associatesExperience building and organizing teams for maximum efficiency and effectivenessDecision-Making / Problem-Solving:Proven track record for being accountable for all actions and decisions madeCapable of assessing risk associated with revenue and projects and accurately reporting such risk upward as requiredAbility to make tough decisions, to pivot and adapt quickly, while remaining focused on clientSolves diverse problems and makes decisions using solid analytical skills where limited precedents or guidelines existUses independent judgment to identify problems and solutionsFunctional Area Skills/Knowledge:Recognized as valued trusted advisor in relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors and other industry professionalsDeep expertise in project management and processes in support of mission critical projectsExcellent organizational skillsStrong, executive-level communication and presentation skills, both oral and written; ability to concisely communicate key issues/results in a manner appropriate to the audienceStrong knowledge of financial performance management and/or risk management solutions is a plusExperience managing a revenue budget of at least $10 million dollarsWorking knowledge of software implementationExposure to various technologies (i.e., web servers, relational databases, and operating systems) is a plusEducation:Bachelor 's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field requiredMaster 's Degree or MBA preferred
