JOB SUMMARY

The SVP, Business Development is the front line face of the organization and responsible for managing senior level industry relationships in an effort to deliver the sale of products within assigned markets. Incumbent assumes overall ownership of the full sales process and relationship set and will deliver against the financial and strategic objectives outlined for the business unit. Opportunities will be generated around multiple products and services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops strategic sales plans for account coverage with an enterprise-wide approach

Identifies and maintains sales leads and continually refines prospects across account base

Develops and delivers presentations to industry influencers and key decisions makers at prospective companies

Provides internal reporting and documents movement through sales process via CRM platform

Manages entire sales cycle from identification through to close, including presentation, request for proposal responses, contract negotiations and on-boarding transition to operational areas

Attends industry conferences and events to represent the organizations product set and delivers on select speaking engagements

Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

SKILLS

Word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, Internet, e-mail, multimedia, and CRM platform knowledge is required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university;

10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

MATHMATICAL ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
