Job DescriptionThe VP, Packaging North leads an assigned region of Packaging businesses located in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Illinois. This role is responsible for driving regional growth and desired operational and financial business results. Additionally, this position is a senior leadership position within COMPANY and will directly lead assigned General Managers and Business Unit Leaders. In addition to regional responsibilities, this role will lead and/or contribute to assigned corporate objectives. This position reports directly to the CEO and is located at the COMPANY headquarters in Minneapolis, MN and will include consistent regional travel to company locations.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:Provide direct leadership to Packaging North leaders in Minnesota, Nebraska and Illinois.As needed, serves as the direct facility/business leader if vacant.Work with regional Packaging leaders to establish strategic plans and operating/financial plans for the short and long term.Ensures that regional Packaging businesses are performing to plan; drives results through goal setting and resource allocation.Attends to key customers across the region.Works with General Managers/Business Unit Leaders and Sales Leaders to plan for new opportunities within region.In partnership with the VP, Business Development and other COMPANY team members, seeks out growth/acquisition targets to drive regional growth.Drives the optimization of manufacturing and business processes across the region to position all businesses for growth and success.Establishes and maintains relationships with key union contacts and participates in calls/meetings as needed.Serves as a strong representative of COMPANY/Liberty Carton Companies in the industry and communities at large.Brings industry expertise to the overall COMPANY organization working across all businesses to drive growth, solve business issues.Communicates frequently across the region, providing solid leadership and key business updates to direct and indirect reports.Required SkillsYou will excel in this role if:You’re recognized for driving results. To qualify, you will bring:15 years Packaging industry leadership experience, preferably across multiple locations that are comparably sized to those within the COMPANY family of companiesUnion environment experience; comfortable with relationship buiCompanyng at the most senior level within each applicable unionSolid communication skills. Able to inspire, motivate and persuade with a compelling and dynamic communication styleExceptional leadership skills with a track record of successful coaching and mentoring relationships.Ability to manage and develop leaders within the organization. Has a track record of growing succession talent and promoting when possible.Four-year degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a Business discipline.
