Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned corporate financial leader to own the global accounting function and scale it with the company. YOU will be the key driver and enabler in the development of people, process and technology ensuring data is readily available for management decision making, legal compliance and external reporting. The Chief Accounting Officer role will report into the Chief Financial Officer, be based in Santa Clara, CA and globally own accounting, policies, tax, treasury, controls, transactional processing, and external reporting. Essential Job Functions: General Collaborate closely with leaders both inside and outside of the finance organizations towards meeting the Company objectives Support the executive team in driving best practices across the company related to corporate governance, ethical standards and sustainable business practices Plan and direct all accounting activities across the organization, to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, statutory guidelines, and internal financial policies and procedures Drive external reporting, including presentations and direct communication with the Audit Committee and investors Lead or be a significant contributor in the drafting of a registration statement in accordance with the 1933 Act if and when one is desired Build the technical infrastructure and control environment to support the company\u2019s hyper-growth and prepare the company for an IPO Provide leadership required to strengthen the Accounting team, with a commitment to recruiting, training and mentoring Leverage technology to build scalable\/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve employee experience Develop\/enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business Provide financial guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting issues Provide accounting expertise on M&A transactions, from performing pre-acquisition due diligence through post-acquisition integration Month-end close processing Responsible for month-end close, including proper application of US GAAP, reviewing variance analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations Shorten the monthly WW close and consolidation process to ensure timely and accurate reporting, managing foreign currency revaluation, translation, and inter-company eliminations. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports from Workday ERP Lead accounting for non-standard transactions including research and memo documentation of accounting conclusions Own and ensure timely delivery of external reporting materials Ensure compliance with investor rights to financial information is addressed in a timely manner Ensure compliance with bank rights to financial information is addressed in a timely manner Lead or be a significant contributor in the drafting of a registration statement in accordance with the 1933 Act if and when one is desired Statutory reporting for foreign entities Responsible for local company accounting records necessary to meet local statutory filing requirements With tax lead, track and monitor the filing dates and filing requirements for all countries Contract with, monitor and support third parties needed to audit the statutory books and prepare the filing materials Ensure all information is properly accumulated, signed and filed prior to deadlines Transactional processing Use continuous improvement approach towards meeting customer needs, improving control environment and gaining efficiencies. Assist in determining and implementing global accounting location strategy Job Requirements: MBA or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (minimum of 15 years relevant experience including both public accounting and corporate accounting) Held position of CAO or Controller at a public company or financial lead on a registration statement Ensure high-quality execution of routine processes (monthly closes, semi-monthly payrolls, etc.) while possess strong decision making and prioritization skills to complete process improvement and ad hoc projects Fully committed to setting and achieving Company and organizational stretch goals Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, with experience managing, motivating and mentoring teams\/individuals Collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve\/support business needs.
