Duties: Responsible for leading a highly creative and productive team to develop creative direction, set creative parameters, and implement a creative experience for the TBS and TNT Brands with a focus on developing Co-branded content and experiences across all platforms. Work within budget parameters to create and maintain an excellent standard for all co-branded creative that reinforces the brand vision, values, and positioning attributes while delivering on business goals. Taking into account strategy, approach development of co-branded content and experiences in a holistic way that aligns with TNT and TBS Brand Creative campaigns. The VP/Creative Director will work in concert with Sales, Brand Creative Brand Marketing and, Digital to develop content ideas, present work to clients and partners by being at once responsive to their needs while still maintaining the creative parameters of the brand. Manage internally and externally driven creative. Maintain fiscal responsibility. Work closely with project managers, production managers and finance to estimate and manage project budgets and schedules. Grow and develop talent. VP/Creative Director will also collaborate with our Social and Audience Development teams to insure consistent social media experience. The position reports to the SVP, Brand Creative. Work externally with agencies, and other internal and external creative resources to bring the best thinking, imagination, and creativity to the position. This requires a strong, willing appetite to expand relationships and constant supervision of the field of content development, technologies and cultural developments to remain fresh and contemporary. Key Job ResponsibilitiesCreative Leadership - 50%Translate marketing, creative, and strategy objectives into co-branded content to insure multi-platform engagement that tells stories and entertains viewers. Develop new business initiatives to drive vision for brands under Turner Entertainment Network's supervision. Set creative direction and mobilize teams to meet common, clearly defined business goals with proven results in creative execution. Ability to choose creative vision for network branded environments/platforms with significant experience managing large-scale projects across multi-platform experiences. Understand and respect the economics of the business and contribute in a way that supports the financial model and demonstrates responsible fiscal management while maintaining the strongest creative environments possible. Constantly track the ever-changing landscape of graphic design with the ability to see and predict future trends so network branded packaging always fresh, contemporary and innovative.Creative Partnering - 30%Build, manage and grow relationships with senior staff and partner with creative leads across departments including Sales, Brand Marketing, Brand Creative, Digital and Brand Strategy to foster first in class, engaging, branded environments and experiences through creative and conceptual thought leadership. Lead teams to define creative vision and develop integrated strategies for co-branded assets under Turner Entertainment supervision. As it pertains to outside partnering, research the ever-evolving agencies, production companies, freelance writers and producers, etc…with the objective of accessing the best talent and key players in the industry. Continue building strong relationships with leaders in the field as a well-known member of the entertainment content industry.People Leadership and Development - 10%Influence vision, direction and goals for the Creative team, align the teambehind them and create the motivation and passion to deliver on them. Exertsignificant influence with colleagues and staff as well as engender trustand inspiration. Motivate and encourage people through relevant ongoingrecognition and create a culture of excellence within the team. Set annualperformance objectives and development plans. Conduct annual performancereviews with each direct report. Ensure team members present and execute unique concepts and solutions by brainstorming ideas with them, providing reference and research materials as needed. Encourage modification of creative approaches based on information obtained from studies of demographics and consumer behavior and input from senior management.Project Management - 10%Plan and troubleshoot potential problems before they cause delays. React to changes in strategy, priorities or schedule. Ensure workload distribution maximizes existing resources, reassigning projects as needed to keep workload balanced and projects moving
Qualifications: - 10 years of experience in entertainment television and promotion.- The ability to think holistically about creative across all platforms.- Strong leadership and management skills.- Ability to manage budgets and timelines efficiently.- A history of leading a pro-active and successful team to produce break through, premium, and multi-platform campaigns.- The ability and willingness to collaborate across departments and divisions.- Well versed in the production process including development, concepting, writing, pitching, and shoot production as well as pre and post-production for linear assets, and digital content.- Ability to think strategically, execute quickly, and drive often diverging objectives toward meeting a common goalTurner Broadcasting System, Inc. and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers and E-Verify users.
