Electronic Systems Technician (Kansas City)

Primary Role:

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for a Senior Level Field Service Technician that will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, design, and maintenance of primarily large scale Communication and Electronic Security Systems, including but not limited to.; CCTV Analog and IP based systems, Enterprise Level Access Control Systems, Nurse Call, and Fire Alarm Systems. The Electronics Systems Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations and service must meet the highest quality standards set forth by **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Designed Solutions, while assuring a professional and safe working environment. Willingness to travel and be on an “on-call service rotation for after hour’s service is a must.


Responds to customer's service related issues promptly

Responsible for the final hookup of electronics equipment for new jobs

Tests and documents readings for customer's systems

Updates customer files

Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.

Responsible for handling on-call duties on a regular scheduled basis

Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment

Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints

Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter,, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, and Impedance Meter

Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment

Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and

Inventory items

Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program

Research and obtain information on position specific training opportunities

Other duties as required or assigned by company management

Aid in the design/build of the above listed system(s).


The Electronic Systems Technician will be accountable to the Service Manager. Secondary accountability will be to the other management team members, employees and customers of the company.

Job Requirements


The Electronic Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience, preferred 6 year minimum as a lead technician in the Electronic Security, Fire Alarm, and Communications Field. A complete and proficient knowledge of networks and PC skills..


Travel throughout the State of Missouri and Kansas is required.

Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.

Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.

Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.

Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.

Valid and current drivers license.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.

Some light lifting of objects is required.

Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
