Job Summary:
The Training Content Developer is responsible for planning, developing and managing the collaborative creation of curriculum content, essential in supporting the Bank’s ongoing learning initiatives. The Developer will analyze large amounts of existing training material to synthesize concepts and integrate existing material into new training courses. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively to lead content development for classroom and online learning courses and will work closely with the business leaders within Retail Banking to clearly understand company goals in order for results to be driven with respect to new and ongoing learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum design, instruction and project management. This position will review materials for content, clarity, consistency, grammar, format, organization and instructional efficacy, while also assisting in establishing and monitoring procedures to confirm high standards are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate training programs for multiple businesses within the Bank, including virtual delivery.
Provide follow-up consultation with team members and managers once training is complete as necessary and appropriate.
Create new internet and intranet written content, and reviewing existing material, to ensure accurate, engaging communications that resonate with intended audiences.
Ensure the overall editorial quality of training materials developed, including compliance with all federal regulations and guidelines, as well as adherence to internal standards.
Work within a writing and editing team to create and maintain methodologies, processes and procedures that ensure consistency across multiple deliverables and training, including compliance with style guides, conventions and checklists for work products and deliverables.
Review materials for content, clarity, consistency, grammar, format, organization and instructional efficacy, and assist in establishing and monitoring procedures to confirm the maintenance of these standards.
Engage in continued learning and education in an effort to consistently innovate and improve upon the output of the department.
Design new corporate training initiatives.
Create custom online learning and secure third party material where necessary.
Review program-training materials on a periodic basis.
Skills, Education and Experience:
BA or BS in business, finance, or equivalent work experience preferred.
5-7 years of retail banking experience with a minimum of 3 years managing a retail branch or similar deposit gathering cost center.
View critical feedback as a tool to strengthen curriculum design and conveys a sense of optimism through challenge.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated hands on experience creating compelling, engaging communications through a variety of mediums including but not limited to written/email, PowerPoint, intranet and videos-with ability to learn new tools.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and be responsive to changing priorities and due dates.
