Company Overview:nAdolfson & Peterson Construction, one of the nationu2019s top contractors, is recruiting for an experienced VP Construction Process and Technologies to join our Shared Services Team.u00a0u00a0 We combine more than 70 years of construction expertise with the newest technologies in order to meet our clients' needs. u00a0We serve owners, architects, and developers with a commitment to teamwork and quality and are constantly looking for people to help us achieve our company goals.nAs a member of the Executive and Strategic Leadership teams, The VP Construction Process and Technologies will partner to develop and drive overall business strategy and direction.u00a0 Provide strategic leadership to optimize construction processes and technologies.nKey Accountabilities of the role include:nTake personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.nBe the champion to support IIF efforts for working safely and building a culture of caring within the organization that reinforces the behavioral aspects of working and living safely.nMaintain a relationship with safety to hold responsibility for personal safety, the safety of each person in the company, and the IIF performance of the entire workforce.nAs a leader, consistently communicate and reinforce the tenets of an IIF workplace. Be willing to discuss a personal commitment and desire for all employees to work safely and attain an IIF workplace.nAs a manager, ensure that processes and procedures that support an IIF culture are maintained and reviewed for continuous improvement.nDrive business strategy and profitability through optimization of construction processes and technologies.nFunction as a strategic business advisor to support the companyu2019s achievement of its strategic goals.nIncorporate a company-wide approach to drive effective business processes and systems solutions across the entire business applications portfolio to maximize consistency and alignment.nCollaborate with business leaders to develop, implement and communicate construction technology. strategy that aligns with and supports the companyu2019s strategic vision and business objectives.nProvide leadership for translation of process and technology into company-wide vision, strategies, tactical plans and initiatives.nDevelop partnerships with key stakeholders to drive effective process governance, project prioritization, technology investment and execution across the business.nAccountable for strategic leadership of:nConstruction Management & Process Improvement TeamnImplement, administer, and support business processes across the organization.nMaximize the effective use of business applications through integration with company operations, leveraging defined business requirements.nLead business needs assessments, communicating results, and executing with key business partners to implement the applicable changes.nnBusiness Application Development TeamnProvide strategic leadership and direction in the selection, uses, and maintenance of business applications and systems to address the defined strategic needs of the company in the areas of project management, accounting, marketing, and file sharing and other business-facing activities.nLead data management, reporting, and process solutions.nProvide leadership and direction for business-facing I.T. activities.nInvestigate and collaborate on emerging technology solutions for the construction industry and their deployment within the CompanynnInformation Technology TeamnLead strategic planning and development of company-wide process and technology solutions to drive business operations.nAssess and improve technology functionality and financial viability.nDirect architecture, assessment, and implementation of third party and in-house development initiatives.nnDevelop and manage the financial functions for the departments.nDevelop and manage budget.nUnderstand and clearly articulate the true cost of technology and IT operations while effectively balancing investment to benefit ratios.nBuild and facilitate a team environment that fosters self-development, innovation, collaboration, and high-performance standards.nOversee a safe and respectful environment that attracts and retains exceptional people.nDevelop leadership strength within the team for current and succession planning.nInspire change and growth in the department.nAssess skills portfolio mentors, develop critical talent for the future, and establish objectives and accountabilities for developing individuals across the organization.nDevelop and maintain a strategic network of industry relationships.nBuild strong relationships with key vendors and professional resources to maximize industry trends.nReview, negotiate, and approve major contracts for services, equipment, softwarenBuild organization and leadership effectiveness.nPartner with executive and strategic teams to create leadership excellence; build morale and engagement through leadership actions.nCoach leaders and lead organizational change to maximize systems and functionality.nCreate and manage policies that embrace AP culture, conform to industry best practices, and meet regulatory compliance requirements.nRequirements:nHistory of progressively more responsible leadership experience with a track record of significant organizational contributions.nRelated degree required in Construction Management or related engineering field; MBA preferredn15 years of related experience with a track record of significant organizational contributionsnRelated certifications and/or advanced business degree preferrednTrack record of involvement in company wide process improvement, LEAN construction and emerging technology development such as Virtual Design and Construction tools.nnExperience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness.nExperience cultivating an active network of relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to key colleagues and connecting with employees at all levels.nDemonstrated integrity and ethical standardsnExperience in a complex construction business as an active participant in driving growth and change; demonstrated effectiveness in driving operations and executing plansnProven ability to identify talent, create and develop teams, and build trust and engagementnCapability to identify and capitalize on opportunities quickly;
