This position will support LLUSS's strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness.The Executive Director-Business Intelligence and Analytics leads the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence and Analytics program in the strategy, vision and supporting the analytics program to support LLUH Strategy and Goals. Leads program to ensure information is an asset of the organization within LLUH and in measuring via metrics the impact of organizational outcomes and performance improvements, cost outcomes, patient satisfaction outcomes, and any business function where analytics is needed. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications:
General to thorough understanding of the following concepts or technologies:
Data warehousing principles, processes, technologies and tools; Systems Development Lifecycle and other software development methodologies; Software Project Management best practices and tools; Data Architecture [e.g., data modeling / data normalization, database design and tuning for both On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) and On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) information systems]; Software, hardware and information architecture fundamentals; Healthcare delivery and administrative processes and functions; Procedural programming fundamentals. Able to utilize project management software such as MS Project, Excel and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Knowledge of software development and financial services software or systems. Able to apply understanding of database architecture models and tools. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with computer course-work required or an additional three years of experience in lieu of degree. Minimum five years of applicable decision support or analytics-related experience required. Minimum five years of Leadership experience required. Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Valid driver's license required at time of hire.
