Profile

Description This role functions as the head of revenue management for Caesars Entertainment. The Senior Vice President of Revenue Management oversees 1.6 billion in lodging sales and has influence on 5.5 billion in gaming revenue. The position is charged with developing strategic vision, maintaining an effective organization and providing leadership to achieve portfolio goals. Critical discipline function is to ensure wider organization understands customer segment profitability and leverages best in class systems / processes to yield inventory and pricing to achieve the most profitable mix of customer segments. Primary Responsibilities Business/Functional Results Manage portfolio hotel performance with goal to grow market share, beat cash revenue targets while maintaining lodging contribution to casino gaming targets. Develop and maintain system roadmap to ensure enterprise keeps up to date with latest capabilities to generate incremental EBIDTA. Ensure team adoption, optimization and utilization of critical RM systems. Ensure enterprise forecast accuracy to enable effective segment yield and pricing strategy. RM team identifies need times and partners with both Casino and Hospitality Marketing to ensure profitable events and promotions are in place to drive incremental demand. Revenue Management team sets criteria for casino discounting based on demand levels. Monitor room pace and pricing and adjust strategy as needed to achieve goals. Leadership / Managing Execution Lead by example by demonstrating company values (Integrity, Service with Passion, Celebrating Success, Diversity, Caring Culture, Ownership), be engaged with company People, Planet, Play initiatives. Encourage an entrepreneurial spirit that engenders innovation, and new ideas that have a demonstrable impact on improving operating income. Socialize and align organization on Revenue Management initiatives. Ensure key stakeholders understand the contribution and value the Revenue Management team delivers. Accomplish desired results by setting priorities and managing by exception. Effectively managing through people and processes utilizing reliable tools, leveraging resources and other parts of the organization. Work with team to anticipate market demand environment within markets, collaborate to develop strategies that deliver the most profitable mix of customers across Casino Comp, Casino Cash, FIT Retail, FIT Discount and Group segments. Ensure team aligns Casino, Marketing, Leisure Sales, Group and other critical departments on strategy to execute flawlessly. Recognize shifts in market demand environment and pivot quickly to adjust strategies to new environment. Align critical departments to ensure flawless execution. Proactively communicate strategies with key stake holders to ensure alignment, build comfort when taking risk and establish credibility and confidence in RM discipline. Responsible for successful annual lodging budget planning process Building Relationships Foster strong relationships with Senior Management Team and leadership in key departments: casino marketing, hospitality marketing, marketing analytics, ecommerce, distribution, leisure sales, group sales. Build effective working relationships with Presidents and Pod leadership. Ensure Pod and property leadership understand the value of revenue management activities and are aligned on strategies to achieve goals. Sell ideas persuasively and influence without direct authority. Negotiate skillfully in tough situations, settle differences and win concessions without damaging relationships. Generating Talent & Organizational Capability Lead team with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies Hire, retain and continually develop diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization. Anticipate future talent needs based on business plans Ensure effective onboarding and training programs are in place. Hold high performance expectations, willingly own results, and hold others accountable. Assign clear accountability, and provide both the authority and resources to ensure that individuals deliver desired contributions and results. Work with RM direct reports to set team goals, monitor, adjust and manage team accountability. Provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to VPs and Director of Analytics. Lead team to develop and refine strategies Provide constructive and qualified feedback on work and communication skills Coach on how to identify yield and price opportunities to achieve profit optimized customer mix. Improve process and tools to leverage to improve revenue management effectiveness; leverage industry best practices. Learning/Applying Personal Expertise Promote an organizational environment that rapidly assimilates new information to improve business performance through assertive leadership, and creates a culture of candor. Actively pursue learning and self-development to enhance personal, professional and unit growth. Keep abreast of newest trends and innovations in the industry & revenue management field. Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Revenue or Hotel Management 5-10 years of VP level revenue management experience overseeing a large portfolio of complex hotels. Demonstrated success in building effective organizations and providing strategic pricing, segment yield and inventory yield leadership. Strong knowledge of distribution space, yield systems, group revenue management, applied pricing best practices. Proven stakeholder relationship building skills and effective communication, negotiation and initiative alignment ability Entrepreneurial skills and thought processes are highly desirable. Must be willing to challenge norms while seeking out and implementing new ideas that have a demonstrable impact on operating income Must be able to work in a deadline-oriented environment, ensuring decisions and stakeholder communication are occurring in a timely fashion. Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills, and be able to successfully inspire develop and manage a team of intelligent, focused and career-minded individuals Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business Background Check As part of Caesars Entertainmentu2019s employment process, candidates will be required to complete a background check prior to an offer being extended.
