The Vice President, Business Development - Federal Services (Business Unit) will have overall responsibility for growth of the Business Unit's new business and re-compete sales pipeline in the Department of Defense and Federal Citizen Services (non DoD) markets.
The Vice President, Business Development - Federal Services will lead a Business Development team focused on the pursuit of large/complex opportunities consistent with the market segment focus of the Business Unit and Serco Americas overall.
The ideal candidate must have a strong business development background in managed services and solutions with proven success in developing business with the Federal Government.
The candidate must have the ability to lead and support the pursuit of major bid activities, and must be a team player who knows how to create and manage the synergy among business development, operations, capture management, and proposal functions.
*Military background (Army).*Experience leading a Business Development Team that encompasses varied and multiple disparate customers.*Experience delivering the full life cycle of business development activities, including market analysis, opportunity identification and qualification, pipeline management, and the development and execution of win strategies. *Experience developing and maintaining strategic business plans, account plans (Opportunity Management Plans), marketing plans and budgets, and developing and measuring performance objectives.*Must have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and highly effective interpersonal skills to carry out daily interactions with customers, technical leaders, business executives, teammates/partners and subcontractors.* Must possess a Bachelor's Degree.
