Kaplan Test Prep has built a world class learning and assessment platform called Atom to support all of its program offerings. After the tremendous success at Kaplan, we are looking to sell Atom externally as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
Atom’s mission is to provide the global education industry with a simple, easy-to-configure toolset to create and deliver content and empower educators to unlock their learners’ potential and achieve their goals.
We are looking to build a commercialization infrastructure and drive market adoption of Atom. This role is responsible for the commercial strategy, business development and a sales strategy to drive business growth and market share.
Source and manage business development opportunities that are consistent with the Atom’s strategy for revenue growth
Build necessary sales channels and pipelines capable of delivering on the Atom’s growth objectives
Create pitch decks for client meetings and formal RFPs as necessary
Negotiate terms and develop quotes and proposals
Collaborate with Legal to produce and review contracts
Ensure Customer Success for existing clients
Collaborate with Product teams to provide feedback on trends and to identify opportunities to deliver greater value to customers
Identify new sales opportunities and manage complex sales cycle and close strategic deals
Develop executive level relationships and lead strategic initiatives with customer, and present Atom’s value proposition to C-level executives
Manage enterprise accounts, business pipeline, and revenue forecasts
Lead the marketing strategy with an emphasis on achieving market penetration and sales growth through cost-effective customer acquisition and market demand generation.
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies in early-stage companies
Experience in closing large enterprise software sales opportunities
Experience selling technology platforms or SAAS in a B2B model
Outstanding sales management skill
Strategic thinker with strong communication and presentation skills
Experience using a CRM like Salesforce for prospecting and managing sales processes
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
Strong prospecting and excellent closing skills
Masters in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering.
