We are seeking a dynamic, joyful, visionary, nurturing, relentless, self-starting Executive Director for our Early Learning Center/Elementary School. This is a leadership role in an exciting startup environment well-funded by passionate, successful technology entrepreneurs. The Centners are committed to developing a premier, world-renowned educational offering, building upon the unique foundation devised for their own children, and sharing it with other like-minded and progressive educators and parents.



In this spirit, the Executive Director will help us articulate and lead the process needed to establish our first school, where together we shall foster the minds and spirits of the little ones, the future leaders of our world.

The Executive Director will be accountable for the overall operational management including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, and legal and long-range planning. Above all, the Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and quality of education for these children, ages 3 to 10.



Key Responsibilities


  • Help found **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s first school and lead initiatives in all areas of its development


  • Foster positive working relationships and communicate effectively with admissions, local agencies, parents, children and educational authorities


  • Recruit, train, supervise and retain quality staff, including foreign nationals and the visa processes implicit in that


  • Develop specific educational curriculum; collaborate with staff to develop positive learning activities and class materials


  • Manage adherence to state and local regulations for proper school operations, including but not limited to health and safety regulations


  • Oversee all office functions including finance and staff oversight


  • Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students through direct conversation, news updates, parent handbook and admissions cycles


  • Implement community outreach activities and summer school program to maintain and promote positive community relationships


  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure legal and financial compliance of the same


  • Maintain personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement for all staff, especially foreign teachers


  • Organize teachers and substitute/coverage in classrooms and all other positions, as needed


  • Coordinate all lunch communication and nutritious menu setting/educating


  • Collaborate effectively with staff and organize staff meetings, as well as administrative meetings in conjunction with other Centner initiatives


  • Facilitate parent information and teacher professional development sessions


  • Oversee before- and after-school programming


Qualifications


  • Master’s or doctorate degree, preferably in early childhood education, elementary education, or family and child development


  • Knowledge of multiple age-appropriate curricula standards (Montessori, Creative, Reggio Emilia and PYP) preferred


  • Must be physically able to work both indoors and outdoors with the agility to engage in child-based play and activities


  • Proven record of leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills


  • Strong oral and written language skills in English and manage communications in other target languages


  • Strong technology and communications skills; high proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish language and deep knowledge of one (or both!) of these cultures preferred


  • Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment


  • A strong understanding of child development, immersion cultures and family support programming


  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
