The position will be part of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (“ICG”) Banking Book Portfolio Management Team, responsible for the risk management aspect of the ICG Cost of Credit / Loan Loss Reserve (“LLR”) process, with a matrix reporting line to Citi’s Commercial Bank’s (“CCB”) Global Risk Analytics Team, in charge of a number of centralized processes for CCB’s global network, including LLR.
Both roles touch on critical and time sensitive responsibilities; On the ICG side, the primary objective is to provide Senior Management with the detailed analysis required to make a decision on the appropriate level of reserves required for the portfolio. The process and analytics regarding the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (“ALLL”) lead to decisions that directly impact the firm's earnings. At the same time, will participate in other LLR related tasks, mostly in the area of booked numbers reconciliation and MIS, while, given the dual reporting of the position to CCB and ICG, will be a focal point in regards to reengineering and streamlining efforts between the two businesses’ LLR processes.
Beyond the LLR activities, and given the regulatory environment requirements, this position will develop and implement process controls, improve data quality and optimize the existing reporting tools in Commercial’s Global Risk Analytics area. This position will also support the preparation of several periodic reports for Senior Management. Finally, the position will be directly involved in the implementation of risk reporting enhancements to comply with the Citi End User Computing standards.
