GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
As the AVP, Eligibility & Enrollment you will provide leadership, direction and functional expertise to ensure departmental results for the development, implementation, adoption, and support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities and to provide operational support to Benefit Technology partners. You will develop and provide strategic direction & oversight for all Eligibility and Enrollment Technology support of Lincoln products into administration and claims systems. You will ensure service delivery is accurate, timely, and meets all service & production levels resulting in a recommendable customer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Effectiveness
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for EDI and Benefit Technology, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
Develops strategies which have substantial impact on the success and delivery of all data requests, electronic enrollment activities and support of Benefit Technology platforms to enhance the customer experience.
Anticipates and provides strategies/solutions to complex problems or trends.
Ensures the department meets and/or exceeds all service levels; directs team(s) in accurate and timely execution to create a recommendable customer experience
Collaborates with internal sales stakeholders to facilitate and ensure an understanding of the key strategic service differentiators between Lincoln and its competitors
Forecasts inventory volumes and short and long-term staffing requirements.
Directs and oversees the development and administration of strategic processing escalation plan(s) for dealing with sudden peaks and emergency situations
Continuous Improvement
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
Identifies and directs strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit.
Provides highly specialized subject matter expertise and leadership to team members on complex escalated inquiries and/or concerns both pre-sale and post-sale.
Leads the analysis and review of root causes of complex escalated issues/concerns and leverages lessons learned to prevent recurrence
Develops and/or enhances performance metrics and provides strategic business analysis regarding service performance and quality to business leadership
Analyzes performance metrics to streamline processes, increase effectiveness and efficiently run operations
Leads team in the implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives and efficiency gains
Engages leaders in continuous process improvement education so they can effectively empower their team to implement continuous process improvements
Strategic Leadership
Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results.
Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation.
Ensures that top talent is hired and retained.
Develops, finalizes, recommends and manages budget
Provides expertise, analysis and execution support for strategic business plan initiatives
Leads and advocates for the desired cultural environment that includes a strong customer centric orientation and a disciplined approach
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects
Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
Directs, establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure departmental results.
Directs and evaluates departmental performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
10 Years experience, especially in an EDI related setting, customer service and/or operational environment directly aligned to the specific duties of this role, including 3 years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (Required)
Practical knowledge with commonly used EDI and Eligibility file management ~~~ REQUIREMENTS
