Profile

The Vice President of Operations provides the leadership and management necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the company’s leadership team that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. This includes providing direction and coaching to individuals who lead the various departments within the organization and executes in coordination with the vision and product strategy set by the CEO and Executive Chairman.

  2. Responsible for creating the operational systems and processes to drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives, customer and employee satisfaction. Institutes continuous improvement programs intended to support business growth and scalability.

  3. Responsible for executing against financial and operational goals and assesses organizational effectiveness in meeting these goals through the development, measurement and reporting of KPI’s and operational scorecards. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company and responsible for regular executive and employee communication to report on the effectiveness of the operation to promote strong execution, alignment, and accountability.

  4. Works in collaboration with CFO to develop and execute operational and financial business plans according to the annual strategy plan Provides leadership, expertise and insight to founders on all operational matters making recommendations for new business and product strategies or human capital investments.

  5. Provides managerial direction and leadership to key personnel in customer support, product development, technology, and marketing to build solid and scalable products and drive a predictable customer base. Improves productivity of product teams through the design of systemization and automation and provides direction for implementation.

  6. Develops solid people systems, processes, and development programs resulting in a highly engaged workforce and a strong and positive culture. Has oversight for the HR function; reviews and recommends strategies for the recruitment and retention of high performing employees and provides a role model for leadership that builds trust and promotes high integrity behavior among all management and staff.

  7. Understands the market and industry, and has contact with customers in order to ensure all internal and external processes and systems support the vision, mission and position of the company as a market leader.

  8. Represent the firm with clients, investors, and business partners, negotiates terms and contracts in support of our operating principles and practices and short and long term needs of the business.

  • This position is designed for an “execution – oriented” individual who enjoys both strategic and tactical involvement in developing organizational processes and systems necessary for growth.

  • Skilled in strategic planning, organizational development, budget and resource development.

  • Excellent skills in partnering and establishing alignment with strategically focused founders who will rely heavily on this position’s leadership and process orientation to organize and build a successful and well organized operation.

  • Natural leadership talent, strong relationship building skills, and the ability to engage teams and build a culture of excellence.

  • Strong communicator with great talent in driving clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, strong financial background a plus.

  • 10-12 years in a Director level operational management role for a small to medium size or large global business unit

  • Demonstrated successful track record in growing organizations or successfully managing turnarounds through the building and management of outstanding teams.

  • Previous accountability for departmental/company P&L with demonstrated experience in profitability management.

  • Experience working in product development, technology, and/or marketing with a strong orientation towards professional services and support.

  • Strong understanding of various technologies on which to build an appropriate platform for growing the business in coordination with operational and financial requirements.
