Role Summary/Purpose: The VP, Marketingu00a0u2013 Google will lead the credit marketing efforts for the Google portfolio. This individual will work collaboratively within Synchrony and the client organization to develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics to achieve **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and client growth metrics inclusive of Acquisition and Purchase Volume. Essential Responsibilities: Serve as the key relationship owner for the Google portfolio to lead, develop, implement, and monitor a dynamic annual marketing strategy. Deliver Marketing programs through cross-functional matrixed organizational structure. Understand and incorporate the clientu2019s key business objectives and strategic vision into the planning process to achieve set objectives. Optimize client marketing contribution, contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals. Integrate client, credit, and product offerings at targeted key customer touch points; develop & manage the acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategies and execute seamlessly. Serve as campaign owner for marketing campaigns and work with Marketing COEs to ensure flawless execution Drive program to effectively work in an Omni-channel environment. Work collaboratively across teams to ensure digital assets are in place and optimized. Push for cutting edge thinking and agenda. Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan. Assist in the development of marketing growth strategy, Op Plan process and ongoing portfolio diagnostic process. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: Bacheloru2019s Degree in marketing or related field OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience 7 years of marketing experience 3 years demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products. 3 years of digital marketing channels that include both web and mobile Ability to travel as needed (~30%) Desired Characteristics: Marketing experience preferably in digital retail, digital direct marketing, credit card or financial services. Experience with a digital retail company Experience influencing organizations and other professionals with a minimum of 2 years of managerial responsibility. Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications. Advanced degree (MS, MBA). Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills. Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure. Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results. Consumer finance experience and related industry experience. Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes, from concept innovation through go-to-market execution. Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and loyalty/lifecycle channels. Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated project management skills. Strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information. Willingness to be relocatable based on business needs Eligibility Requirements: You must be 18 years or older You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 monthsu2019 time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 monthsu2019 time in position before they can post.
