Job DescriptionJob Title:Chief Medical Innovation Officer (EXEMPT)Company Name:St. Peter's HospitalView all company jobsView company profileEmployment Type:Full Time (Exempt)Location:HELENA, MT, United StatesDepartment:AdministrationSalary:Highly CompetitiveShift Hours/ Days:Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)Hours/Pay Period:Degree Required:None SpecifiedJob ID:Date Posted:Aug 9, 2018Years Experience:unspecifiedNote: Please read the complete description below before applying for this job.Complete DescriptionJOB SUMMARY (overview of job): The Chief Medical Innovation Officer reports to the St. Peter’s Health CEO and is responsible for:Overseeing the strategic and operational plans of Information Systems, Informatics, and Analytics teams and assume accountability for performance and outcomes.Overseeing the strategic and operational plans of the Project Management Office and assume accountability for performance and outcomes.Assisting senior executives with development, implementation and oversight of St. Peter’s Health strategic, business development and operational priorities.Supporting CEO and CFO with payor relations and reimbursement objectives.Assisting executive leadership with advancement of regional health services and clinical affiliations.Generate clinical and business intelligence to for care teams, staff members, executives, government, or scholarly institutions as may be needed.All other duties as assigned by the CEO related to the furthering of the St Peter’s mission and vision.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:The position requires both clinical practice and leadership experience. This physician should be board certified with at least five years of clinical practice experience, and demonstrated management experience, preferably as the senior leader in a multi-specialty medical group. The successful candidate will be highly-regarded as a physician leader, be technically savvy, and possess excellent facilitator and relationship skills. Required Knowledge and Skills:Be a physician with clinical training who possesses exceptional leadership skills, including a faculty for conceptual thinking, peer motivation, problem solving, and who can demonstrate initiative, follow-up and follow-through.Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast paced environment utilizing tact, patience, and diplomacy.Have the ability to work independently.Have prior management experience.Resolve conflict and be comfortable with conflict resolution and management.Facilitate the development of trusting relationships and partnerships with physicians, payers, patients and co-workers.Maintain a positive public image for St. Peter's Health by dealing with patients, employees, business contacts, vendors, and the community with a high level of courtesy and respect.Communicate respectfully, openly, honestly and directly.Promote an environment that facilitates innovation, creative solutions and empowerment.Ensure that decisions involve those who do the work and those who are affected by the work.Serve as coach, mentor and positive role model.Hold self and other leaders accountable to the highest standards. LEADERSHIP GOALS:Maintain positive professional relationships with physicians, and management staff.Be comfortable with promptly addressing and resolving conflict and in addressing necessary interventions within the broader SPH medical staff.Develop new delivery models and revenue opportunities that benefit patients, providers and the viability of St Peter’s Health EDUCATION:Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Master’s degree programs in health informatics preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY:Board certification in their specialty with at least five years of clinical practice experience and demonstrated management experience.Montana medical license.
