Establish and maintain a customer centric sales and service team focused on providing a stellar customer experience and meeting established goals and objectives. Responsible for the overall performance of the Regional Financial Services team including direct leadership of the Regional Sales Team and indirect leadership of the regional operations and insurance sales and support team. Select, develop, coach and mentor the Regional Sales Team located in multiple retail offices ranging from 2-3 locations, including training and empowering team members to work effectively in a team environment. Additional responsibilities include the planning and facilitating of sales and marketing activities, coordinating the annual regional sales and business strategy and ensuring adherence to established credit administration processes and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate a customer centric sales and service culture to deliver exceptional customer service and drive loan and insurance growth objectives.
Instill a participative work team environment; ensure team members are active and responsible team members; facilitate team development activities.
Facilitate change and implementation of processes.
Ensure major Association initiatives are implemented, standardized and adhered to.
In conjunction with the other members of the Regional Leadership Team, conduct and/or organize regional team meetings, sales meetings, etc.
Coordinate with the VP Insurance to ensure a customer centric sales strategy which includes the alignment of sales activities across all products and services.
Frequent interaction with the SVP Related Services and SVP Specialized Lending to ensure consistent approach to delivering products and services associated with insurance and home lending.
Coordinate the activities of the Regional Leadership Team.
Provide a focus on sales leadership - leading sales responsibilities of all retail products and services.
Lead the periodic regional market assessment to identify and develop a regional sales strategy.
Coordinate local sales and regional promotions/advertising.
Coordinate involvement in local producer/community groups.
In conjunction with the VP Insurance and Operations Leader, direct sales activities within the Regional Financial Services Team.
Coordinate the annual region sales strategy and business plan.
Implement sound application of pricing components.
In coordination with the Regional Leadership Team, continually assess the regional business environment to ensure marketing strategies are meeting regions needs and achieving desired growth objectives.
Promote a sound customer experience strategy.
3. Human Resources Administration:
Coordinate the selection of retail sales team members consisting of the Financial Officers and CHL Officers. Work with other Regional Leaders to identify training /developmental needs.
Follow up timely on individual development plans throughout the year; coordinate office sales and related training.
Monitor workload and assess FTE needs, etc.
Conduct performance appraisals timely; counsel team members on performance issues. Complete and/or recommend salary administration for team members in accordance with company procedures.
Facilitate and complete the Development Wheel, succession planning, etc. on a limited number of team members
Provide indirect leadership support for Insurance Sales and Regional Operations team members.
4. Credit Administration and Delivery:
Provide leadership, direction and counsel to the delivery of Association credit philosophy. Has direct involvement/understanding of key accounts, including monitoring of teams for compliance to credit procedures and policies.
Coordinate work activity and processes with Retail Credit Underwriting and Large Producer Underwriting team members and leaders.
Coordinate with Retail Commercial Lending team members and leader as transition of existing accounts occur and as team members mutually market products to new producers.
Monitor internal controls/accounting procedures/reports, etc.
5. Innovation Leader:
Support and promote corporate and individual innovation opportunities.
Develop and maintain a significant \professional presence\ throughout the local business community, generally contribute to the Farm Credit Services of America image as the leading ag financial institution.
Lead toward the Company Financial Planning and annualized targets. Operate within budget guidelines and constraints.
Additional functions of the position may include:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Level 28: Requires education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in business administration, agriculture, economics or finance. Minimum of 8 years of related lending experience with a minimum of 5 to 7 years leadership/management experience preferred.
Level 29: Requires education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in business administration, agriculture, economics or finance. Minimum of 8 years of related lending experience with a minimum of 8 years leadership/management experience preferred.
The following job factors will be considered in determining grade level: combined outstanding portfolio size and market potential of business region; number of employees in region; and size of insurance portfolio.
These guidelines are parameters which will assist in determining Grade assignment.

Current awareness of economic developments and production technology affecting agriculture in the local agricultural region.
Demonstrated competence in credit administration, communication, decision making/problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Extensive contact with Sr. Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents of Insurance the Credit teams, and other Association staff and customers. Regular contact with internal and external legal counsel, financial consultants, industry offices and commodity groups.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to use and understand various computer software related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position to include proficient in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer. Ability to use a keyboard/calculator/computer.
Ability to use and understand technology systems for video conferencing, tele-conferencing and other methods of remote leadership.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.Ability to understand and explain decisions and recommendations.
Ability to motivate people to perform to the best of their ability.
Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work related activities.

Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation up to 50% same day and overnight travel to meet customer needs and to carry out essential responsibilities.
