Vice President of Operations Fairway America Capital Markets Group

As the CEO of Fairway America, I am looking for a proven all-star to join our team in a critical role to implement and execute our vision in our Capital Markets Group. In the last six years, Fairway has rapidly become the leader in the Small Balance Real Estate ( SBRE ) industry through our SBRE advisory, consulting, and fund administration, online crowdfunding platform, investment management technology, live investor events, and our growing capacity to allocate to and raise capital for SBRE entrepreneurs

(real estate syndicators, private lenders, discounted note buyers and other SBRE dealmakers). We are now at the point in our growth where we need to add a strong and talented operationally minded person to oversee the execution of our capital raising and investor relations functions.

Fairway America manages three proprietary funds Fairway America Fund VI, LLC, Fairway America Fund VII, LP, and Fairway America Fund VIIQP. We have worked tirelessly over the past several years to identify and secure a steady stream of credible third-party real estate-based investment opportunities for which we need to continually raise capital for and then provide ongoing communications to investors. To achieve success in this role, you will be very detail-oriented, capable of driving discipline and process excellence to ensure a premium investor experience, while driving business growth and profitability. You will manage and lead a division with several employees and key external partnerships and relationships. You will be expected to come in and make immediate contributions, getting things done accurately, effectively and timely.

In short, I am looking for a someone who can lead and manage the day to day business operations of the Fairway America Capital Markets Group. Your contributions will enable the Capital Markets Group to focus and deliver revenue generating activities.

If you are at the stage of your life when you are ready for that prime occasion to step up and achieve something special for a true market segment trailblazer, this position might be an ideal fit for you. If you have a desire to manage and oversee a business that has the true potential to be the best SBRE Private Equity Capital Markets Group in the country, then we want to hear from you!

--Matthew Burk, CEO, Fairway America

At Fairway America, we are committed to our Core Values.

These values are alive at our company and we live them every day while pursuing our mission of helping small balance real estate entrepreneurs scale their businesses.

Act with Integrity

- Do what you know is right in all situations

Do a Lot and Do it Right

- Results matter

Learn, Grow, Adapt, Improve

- Continually strive to get better

Focus on What Matters

- Prioritize the most important

Value for Value -

Bring value to others and demand it in exchange

We have already made tremendous strides in that mission and have quickly become the industry leader in SBRE. We are growing in all phases of our business model and need exceptional, quality people to handle that growth.

A critical role for the ongoing success of Fairway America is that of the Vice President of Operations, whose primary function will be to work closely with the entire Capital Markets Group team to ensure successful delivery of investor activities including subscription, onboarding, reporting, compliance and overall investor relations. This will include the responsibility to oversee processes, details, efficiencies, systems, and management as the team prospects for new investors, creates capital raising marketing materials, updates investment offerings on our website, tracks investor pipelines, helps with investor communications, and more. You will be expected to oversee and handle day to day situations as they arise with little direction and input from the executives of the company. You must be an extremely hard working, fast-paced, disciplined, self-motivated individual that relishes in having several complex responsibilities and personalities to manage. This is a unique opportunity to drive change at both a micro and macro level.

Are you organized?

Do you know how to manage people?

Can you stay calm and lead in a fast-paced environment?

Can you handle high pressure business situations without making errors?

Can you communicate concisely?

Do you enjoy teamwork?

Do you enjoy the rewards of hard work?

Are you able to earn and maintain the respect of your coworkers?

Do you like building relationships that can produce quality opportunities for you and your company?

Do you enjoy learning new things and can pick up on new concepts quickly?

Are you a good listener? Can you effectively listen in a way that allows you to hear and feel others pain points, needs, and desires even if they cannot perfectly articulate them?

Are you unafraid of hard work, deep commitment and high achievement (and in fact relish it)?

Do you prefer to be part of an integral smaller, tight-knit, entrepreneurial team as opposed to working in a large corporate environment?

Does doing your absolute best and being an achiever in whatever you do come naturally to you?

Do you like to keep score?

Are you a self-starter that is driven toward financial success?

Do you consider yourself a hard worker that takes initiative to get things done and does not need to be closely managed?

Do you get excited about your work, take deep pride in doing it well, and think about it even when you are not working?

The Position

The Vice President of Operations role will manage the operations and processes of the Capital Markets Group, including but not limited to: investor communications, investor subscriptions, marketing efforts, website updates, FINRA compliance, capital raising strategy, live events, and more. This position will be the right-hand to both the CEO and the President/Visionary of Fairway America s Capital Markets Group, taking the ideas, concepts, and strategies of the company and implementing the resulting objectives as appropriate throughout the department. This role will require you to communicate on behalf of the business unit to appropriate constituencies and to handle decisions and situations yourself as much as possible, involving the executives when necessary and advisable.

The right candidate will be eager to make an immediate impact to dig in and problem solve, communicate and coordinate across different business functions to allow the team to spend as much time building relationships, raising capital and executing and implementing the company s vision as possible. You must be dynamic and able to adapt to a variety of situations, personalities and changing priorities that you will encounter daily. You will ensure that we are providing the highest level of quality utilizing the most efficient methods. You must be able to prioritize effectively and get a lot done.

Qualifications and Skills

At Fairway America, we strive to hire only A players for whom success, achievement and integrity are simply what you demand of yourself. Therefore, core values, resourcefulness, a natural desire to succeed, and a demonstrable track record of success in whatever you have done in your life are more important to us than absolute apples to apples experience. That being said, an ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following:

College degree

10 years of total work experience in progressively higher levels of responsibility

Proven track record of success and demonstrable results as a difference-making team member in prior roles

Prior management experience in highly operational role(s)

Good time management skills

Strong attention to details

Excellent Stakeholder management skills

An organized and effective personal and professional style, with well-developed communication and presentation skills in executive settings (including working with presentation software tools like Microsoft PowerPoint)

Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple projects and responsibilities

A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to the company s core values

Exceptional work ethic and desire to succeed

Excellent oral and written communication skills

You will need to be an effective manager that motivates employees, handles any issues that arise, and maintains the respect of the team. You must be able to keep pace with the communication, vision, and work ethic of the executives. You must be efficient in all that you do through good time-management skills and being able to focus on what matters. You must have the professional integrity to act with high ethics. You can play a significant, meaningful role today and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

Direct the day-to-day activities of the Capital Markets Group department

Manage a team of associates and analysts

Create, maintain, manage and amend (when necessary) processes and systems around communications, tracking of data, security protocols, files, etc.
