Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic role in the overall leadership of Sarcos with responsibility for overseeing the Finance organization which provides services of financial planning, profit planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, tax, treasury matters, reporting, and economic and financial analyses. Finance has responsibility for relationships with the banking communities, investors – including the Board and Audit Committee, regulatory authorities and others in the financial community. Finance provides leadership in developing proposals and policies on strategic issues that affect the Company’s long-term financial health and competitiveness and those financial matters that have an impact on shareholders, customers, constituents, and other stakeholders. Finance establishes financial policies and procedures for company-wide guidance and internal control.
Role/Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support to Sarcos’ senior leadership and Board of Directors for all company products and services, ensuring appropriate challenge and analysis and to proactively identify business opportunities to drive growth, while managing risks.
Build a capable finance organization that will develop and execute a reporting process to accurately reflect current and forecasted performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Provide information and analytics to the business and product lines/managers to manage their costs vs. budgets and operating plans.
Lead the finance team to provide business intelligence and decision making through financial modeling and analysis. Drive a cash return on investment mindset throughout the company.
Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
Provide analytics on revenue generation opportunities, pipeline generation, receivables, collections, payment terms and conditions, inventory management, working capital, and cash flows.
Support the CEO and Business Development team in strategic partnerships, potential acquisitions or other cooperation models.
Provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of Company-wide policy and standards in the areas of accounting and financial operations, capital management, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and revenue requirements, and debt management. Responsibilities include the design and implementation of financial policies and processes which promote the financial integrity of Sarcos, ensure optimum asset management, and fulfill the statutory responsibilities as a commercial enterprise and a government contractor.
Serve as the principal executive responsible for long-range planning and execution of budget, financial, and accounting services and their integration throughout Sarcos.
Expert advisor for finance related relationships with officials of Federal agencies, officials of state and local governments, investment bankers, major manufacturers, professional groups, research and development organizations, government delegates and committees, and others on all matters related to the CFO’s role in supporting Sarcos’ commercial and government obligations. Ensures that internal and external communications accurately portray and effectively promote Sarcos’ policies and objectives.
Develop financial and tax strategies, oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns. Key point of contact for tax advisors.
Manage preparation and support for all external audits. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors.
Ensure policies and procedures meet external requirements, such as the annual audit of financial reporting and compliance with DOD, and Federal and State regulations, to optimize commercial success.
Oversight and guidance regarding indirect rates, DCAA/DCMA auditing procedures and compliance, FAR, and DFAR regulations.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (both internal and external reporting), GAAP compliance and interaction with external public accountants.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reporting and interpretation, and financial trends for presentation to the CEO, senior management team and Board of Directors.
Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Optimize the management of banking, financial, and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. Develop reliable cash flow projection processes and reporting mechanisms which include minimum cash thresholds to meet operating needs.
Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in setting Sarcos’ strategic direction.
Effectively motivate and develop team members where people are encouraged to expand and grow professionally.
Create and maintain a cost conscious, market driven, and results oriented culture, which is characterized by innovation, client and user focus, continuous improvement, and competitive orientation. Policies and standards are designed collaboratively to meet external and fiduciary requirements while most effectively and efficiently supporting Sarcos’ overall operations.
Determine and allocate necessary organizational resources, including staff and funds, and is responsible within the organization for their effective and efficient utilization in support of Sarcos’ goals and targets.
Ensures Company government price reporting obligations and requirements are met.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in both entrepreneurial startup companies and established public company experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, combined with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, theories and compliance.
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or related field; Master’s degree and CPA designation preferred.
Sharp, high energy, results-driven, solution-oriented, focused and motivated with solid decision-making capability.
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to listen, understand and influence with the confidence and presence to interact with customers and senior leadership levels
Thrives in fast-paced, results oriented environments.
15+ years finance/accounting experience.
6+ years minimum experience as a CFO in a large or mid-market ($200 million+) company.
Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Experience and knowledge of indirect rates, DCAA/DCMA auditing procedures, compliance and working knowledge of FAR, and DFAR regulations.
ERP implementation experience with proven ability to leverage latest technology to maximize efficiency in processing and reporting.
Experience with payroll processing, accounting systems, software and requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by the board of directors, shareholders, customers, team members etc.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, reasoning, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is performed Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and weekends based on business requirements.
Safety awareness is essential at all times while in the work area.
Must be able to stand and sit for extended times.
