POSITION TITLE: VP Sales and Marketing

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing leadership and driving strategy across the companys sales and marketing functions by developing and implementing strategic initiatives, as well as monitoring the team performance to ensure desired goals and targets are met and/or exceeded.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and
Profitability both short and long term
Responsible for the performance and development of National Business Development Managers and Sales Representatives
Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
Maintains key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the companys customer base
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for all sales and marketing solutions, working cross-functionally as necessary to ensure desired outcomes are met
Promotes positive relations with partners, vendors and distributors
Provide expertise to the company by building, developing and managing sales and marketing teams capable of carrying out the company strategies and tactics
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:
10 years experience managing an industrial sales organization generating $300M+ of annual revenue
Experience in industrial services along with strategic planning and execution
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations
Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Willingness to travel
Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
Good communication skills, written and oral
Bachelors degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred
