Vice President, Business Analysis
The Vice President of Business Analysis is the senior delivery liaison to Edelman’s business partners, ensuring the fulfillment of Edelman’s strategic technology roadmap and business priorities from requirements through implementation; provides senior leadership and strategic direction in the development and delivery of global business technology assets and processes.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Partner with the Systems Governance Board and other key business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, roadmap, resources, and issues.
To serve as the link between the business and all application development, support, and maintenance activities, providing strategic consulting-level support and guidance.
Lead the overall business analysis life cycle from business/ technical requirements efficient process design, testing, deployment and stabilization.
Establish and administer the overall policies and goals for the business analysis team, deliver timely results, and hold team members accountable.
Lead discussions with business analysts and subject matter experts to understand business needs and processes, negotiate requirements, and architect solution options.
Understand the IT portfolio and this with business requirements.
Manage all aspects of the business analysis function, including employees, contractors, and vendors. Drive accountability and a commitment to customer service.
Ideal candidate has at least 5-7 years experience leading an application environment with PeopleSoft systems, preferably PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 or later.
Skills and Qualifications
At least ten years’ relevant IT experience with a large multinational company, ideally with a public relations, marketing, or professional services firm.
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of enterprise software delivery, architecture, and support; experience managing a complex application portfolio.
Expertise with governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management, and application security/controls.
Strong communication, presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to influence and challenge to drive clarity around issues and needs.
Proven leadership skills in a high-performing, fast-paced environment.
