As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.
Drive the company’s financial planning
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
Manage vendor relationships
Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
Oversee company’s I.T. management outsourcing and internal management process.
Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
Oversee and manage the timely and accurate tracking and reporting of the financial system (P L, Balance Sheet, 6 Week Rolling Cash Flow, Financial Flash Sheet)
Oversee and manage HR department
Oversee and manage the company payroll process
Oversee and manage all company cash transfers and deposits
Oversee and manage timely and accurate budget and cash flow development and reporting
Oversee and manage company financial modeling and projections
Oversee and manage company financial analysis process
Oversee and manage the position role sheet system, the one on one meetings, performance reviews and hiring and firing of finance department staff
Oversee, develop and manage the financial systems of the company
Organize and manage the financial plan portion of the company’s business planning process
Oversee and manage the effective execution of the company’s daily bookkeeping
Oversee and manage the Key Health Indicators of Finance Dept.
Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP) Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing;
Ability to strategize and solve problems
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
CPA is a , but not required.
BSc/BA (Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts) in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA (Master of Science/Master of Arts) is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff.
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
