DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Vice President Service Line is responsible for promoting the CHRISTUS Health mission, vision, values and philosophy and for operational effectiveness and quality of care and service for CSRH.In addition, Vice President Service Line is responsible for all Associate, medical staff and community relations and ensures services provided are responsive to the community's health needs and integral to the achievement of the CHRISTUS Health mission and vision. Vice President Service Line works in a collaborative environment and participates with others in the operational decision making for the region.This position also oversees some of the regional activities and support functions. Provides leadership and demonstrates active involvement in the medical community through membership on boards, community task forces and other community service efforts.
Will promote physician multidisciplinary interaction, increase market share, and maximize resource utilization.This position works very closely with the facility administrator and regional leadership in setting the strategic and clinical direction of the facility.
In collaboration with the facility administrator and Market CEO, identifies potential strategic opportunities within the market and ensures implementation of the strategies and tactics in alignment with the CHRISTUS Health strategy and direction.
Consults, coordinates, communicates and cooperates with businesses, governments, citizen groups and other community participants to identify community health needs and facilitate the development of plans to meet these needs and improve the health status of the population.Demonstrates by personal leadership and action full support and commitment to integrity in all business transactions and relationships. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: A.Education\/Skills:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
The ability to interact with board members, physicians and leaders in the business community as necessary.
Must have strong understanding of and demonstrate skill in leadership, strategic management, change management, communications, team building, continuous quality improvement, problem solving, decision making, innovation, financial management of operations, and stewardship of resources.
Skill in establishing a balanced perspective on mission effectiveness and business results is critical. B.Experience:
A minimum of ten years' prior hospital operations experience with progressive career experience as a senior operating officer of a health care facility with experience that is broad-based.
Multi-hospital system experience and Catholic health care experience are preferred. C.Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
Board Certification by the American College of Healthcare Executives required.Fellow preferred.
