The Role
The Senior Vice President (SVP) assumes leadership for the
Midwest-North
Territory with a diverse staffing portfolio and revenues of approximately $500M. This leader will be
responsible for the company’s service strategies and operations for our On-Demand, Light Industrial, and Skilled Trades service lines.
The individual must be customer centric, an innovative leader who drives for results, effective in communicating across the organization, and providing solutions to complex challenges.
This role will drive strategy across an enterprise to achieve high customer retention and new sales.
Reporting
The position reports to the
President of People Ready
and can be located anywhere within the Territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set overall strategy and vision for Midwest/North Territory and respective Regions with established business plans and service offerings.
Execute on the strategic plan by leading stakeholders and regional leaders to gain market share and further establish PeopleReady as a national leader and staffing partner.
Evaluate the success of the territory and hold leadership accountable to achieve various metrics and financial targets
Foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance and ethical behavior.
Represent our staffing solutions to a national marketplace - providing leadership, vision, coaching and development. Key spokesperson for PeopleReady.
Expand existing strategic accounts through National and Regional Sales teams.
Help establish the long-term strategic direction for PeopleReady to ensure profitability and value for our shareholders.
Provide strategic oversight to ensure all assigned Regions are set up for success through finding the right talent (at the right time) for our diverse customer-base with an emphasis on innovation, training, and developing tomorrow's leaders.
Assess our current standing in the market to refine strategic sales & operations plans to grow PeopleReady’s footprint in our key verticals.
Articulate the company’s strategies depicting PeopleReady as a single solution provider to demonstrate our competitive advantages.
Attract, hire, retain, motivate and measure senior leadership
Link the strategic vision to clear financial objectives and measurements to drive measureable action across the organization.
Align national strategies with Field Base Sales to ensure maximum market penetration.
Inspires a sales driven culture.
At the Branch and Market level, ensure that PeopleReady attracts and retains a workforce of qualified associates and ensuring operational and regulatory compliance.
Lead organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives and removing obstacles impeding constructive organization change.
Communicate new deliverables/products and timelines, and other changes in a transparent, clear, and concise manner to assigned team.
Facilitate and drive clarity in the organization’s long-term vision through market awareness, competitive intelligence, thought leadership, and building relationships in and outside of PeopleReady.
Develop and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with all executive stakeholders.
Recognizes that teamwork, trust and empowerment are essential to strengthen team capacity to deliver on promises and exceed expectations.
Promotes a work culture that places emphasis on worker safety being #1.
Champion of PeopleReady’s mission, strategy, values, diversity, and brand attributes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
This business and sales leader will establish strategic plans and direction for the territory. He or she will develop internal and external relationships (including 3
rd
parties) with business executives, customers’ C-suite and functional leaders. The successful candidate will possess experience leading large-scale initiatives involving recruiting, sales and operations nationally or for a given territory. This executive will build and foster an environment for individual growth and success through coaching, mentoring and training best in class leaders.
Thought Leadership
Strong business acumen and executive presence. Understand all parts of the organization and their interdependencies and apply that knowledge to influence strategy and new business plans. Ensure that leadership team is aligned with goals and objectives of the territory.
Strategic
Develop the territory’s vision and translating it into short and long term plans; create effective strategies and business plans to focus on the territory’s business priorities; consider long term consequences and implications of actions and decisions for the territory, and provide strategic direction by assessing and managing the risks and opportunities.
Executing for Results
Support and lead continuous improvement programs, recognizing opportunities to simplify organizational processes and create efficiencies. Anticipate and ensure that the appropriate resources and structures are in place in order to support short and long term business/revenue goals. Create effective metrics to support fact based opinions and drive results.
Leading Teams
Create a high-performance culture by communicating high expectations and regularly evaluating others’ job performance against agreed standards and goals. Provide leadership for and build a team capable of partnering with other leaders and teams with accountability for ensuring that sales, recruiting and operational teams are empowered to compete and win in the marketplace
REQUIREMENTS
15 years related B2B experience with at least 10 years in multi-unit management for a large territory or enterprise.
Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree a plus.
Outstanding record of sales and customer retention that include strategic and national accounts.
Demonstrative leadership ability and success in delivering results through the actions of other leaders. Advocate for diversity and inclusion.
Effective in leading others in creating and implementing large-scale business plans.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and agreed upon deadlines.
Outstanding communicator (written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation) as one of the key voices of PeopleReady.
Effective in building relationships with a diverse employee population.
Integrity, respect, judgement, and thought leadership.
Effective in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to leverage technology for business solutions.
Travel anticipated at 50%-75%.
