Distil Networks is seeking a new Chief Marketing Officer to play a vital leadership role in developing and driving our overall marketing strategy as we continue to expand our footprint as the global leader in solutions to prevent website, mobile app, and API automated attacks. The CMO is the client experience leader for the organization, responsible for leading, overseeing and driving brand and marketing strategy, initiatives, priorities and results for Distil. The CMO will be working directly with our CEO and cross functionally to expand visibility of the Distil Networks brand, lead generation, PR and analyst relations exposure, and customer advocacy. This CMO is accountable for the full marketing lifecycle: from client insights leading to persona and campaign design, execution and optimization to drive customer conversion along the path to purchase and cross-sell/upsell opportunities.

The CMO will be an ambassador for the organization and build relationships with the senior leadership team, internal teams, analysts and key partners. The position reports into the Chief Executive Officer and is an integral member of the leadership team.

The right candidate must be a strong, inspiring leader that can balance management and hands on operation. Personal attributes sought include: high levels of energy, positivity, honesty, communication, collaboration, influence, creativity, change management and drive.

Responsibilities:

● Drive strategic global expansion of the Distil Networks brand across all channels

● Build, execute and maintain a scalable demand generation model to drive sales growth

● Proactively identify and develop longer-term marketing and communications strategies and initiatives that will result in increased visibility and profitable growth

● Develop and mentor our in-house Marketing team

● Create and manage a comprehensive global marketing plan and annual budget

● Manage content development and position Distil Networks as a leader in the automated threat defense industry through thought leadership materials including, but not limited to, white papers, infographics, blog posts, social media, webinars, newsletters, and presentations

● Create and implement an event marketing strategy to position members of our executive team as industry and subject matter experts

● Work closely with our product team to create and oversee new product and feature launches

● Establish and report on specific marketing metrics, including ROI, marketing pipeline contribution, and effectively communicate success criteria of all campaigns (Paid Search, SEO, Email Marketing, Social, etc)

Background:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

● 10 years experience in B2B digital marketing

● 5 years experience hiring and managing/mentoring a team of marketing and communications professionals

● 5 years experience in analyst relations, PR, and communications

● Proven ability to search out and forge productive working relationships inside and outside the organization

● Expert knowledge of CRM marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.,)

● Strong sense of urgency and ownership over projects and deliverables and the ability to focus and prioritize – even in a hurricane of activity

● Proven ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty in a quickly growing, ever-changing, cybersecurity company

● Advanced analytics, ROMI metrics, and reporting skills

● Understands changing market dynamics and prepares the company by developing and implementing strategies to meet the changes in the marketplace

● Excellent, clear, and effective verbal and communication skills, and experience in a collaborative, transparent, and hands-on environment

● Ability to travel for events, including international travel

● Preference to have strong information security industry background/experien
