Summary
Vice President of Project Management
 
The Vice President of Project Management will lead the Project Management function and associated team. This seasoned Project Management (PM) professional will have deep knowledge and experience of industry relevant Project Management best practices and systems and be able to implement them resulting in increased efficiency, establishment of and adherence to an optimized work-flow process, reduced cycle times, more effective use of resources/talent, and reductions in errors/omissions. This position will work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure that the project management discipline addresses the business requirements of both internal departments (account, creative, strategy) as well as the needs of our clients. While training and leading a team of internal project managers (Sr PMs, PMs, Jr PMs) the VP Project Management is a working manager role that will be responsible to both establish team quality standards and a learning curriculum to perpetuate and instill excellence within the department as well as deliver work product to our clients.

Position Summary The Vice President of Project Management will lead the Project Management function and associated team. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Project Management PMO Related:\u2022 Leads Enterprise wide project initiative as it relates to operations, tools and PM functions\u2022 Enforce Project Schedule conformity across business units\u2022 Enforce Project Change Management protocols across business units\u2022 Establishes and deploys a common set of project management processes and templates
Team Leadership:\u2022 Oversee PM Team - hire, train and mentor full 360 execution experienced Project Managers\u2022 Facilitates the improvement of project team communications through common processes, deliverables, and terminology. \u2022 Set expectations and interface closely with all stakeholders on the Executive Leadership Team on performance against execution goals\u2022 Set up and manage to service level agreements among the departments \u2022 Oversee management of staff priorities, workload balancing/utilization, employee recognition/rewards and routine staff professional development to keep turnover at a minimum and staff morale high
Financial:\u2022 Own and manage financial responsibility for Project Management Team including but not limited to; ensuring projects stay within budget for both Company and Client.\u2022 Oversee forecasting in regard to budget, staff and project components
Tools/Templates:\u2022 Align with Advantage Infrastructure and IT protocols\u2022 Product Owner and System Administrator for PM Tool\u2022 PM tool - Design and implementation of project-related templates, reports, and workflows\u2022 Induction and refresher training for PM tool\u2022 Communications across enterprise as it relates to PM tool NEW ADDITIONS or UPDATES
Process Governance:\u2022 Owns and protects the integrity of the process and all associated outputs\u2022 Enforce Adoption of process existing and new\u2022 As new or revised processes and templates are made available, the PMO deploys them consistently to the organization. \u2022 Process Change Management comes through PMO for formal change across enterprise\u2022 Inductions and Refresher Trainings\u2022 Establish and implement organization-wide metrics on the state of project delivery and the value being provided to the business. \u2022 Constant Assessment of the project delivery environment on an ongoing basis to determine and measure improvements made over time. \u2022 Continuously improve and enhance workflow efficiencies to allow for scalability
Vendor Management:\u2022 Vendor management for all execution-based vendors \u2022 Oversee all key creative deliveries as it relates to vendors secured for strategy or account purposes

Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
 
Travel and/or Driving Requirements - Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job. - Travel up to 20%

Minimum Qualifications: The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Project Management Certification

Field of Study/Area of Experience: - 10 years working in Project Management- 5-10 years successfully managing a P&L, budgeting and forecasting and managing client expectations either personally or through a team- Experience working with Vice President or Sales level and above positions- Experience in Brand Management, Customer Management, Category Management and Shopper Marketing a plus- Previous experience with managing direct reports; reporting directly to SVP or C-level executive- Experience in Process Architecture preferred- Experience in Tools Architecture \u2013 mapping process and inductions to enterprise
