Reporting to the Group Vice President for Cold Chain and in collaboration with the entire executive staff, the Vice President - Cold Chain Marketing is responsible for market strategy and execution for the $1B Cold Chain organization. He/she will:

Lead the strategic marketing direction across the Cold Chain vertical market teams.
Work with vertical market leaders to validate strategic plans and build go-to-market strategies.
Lead Cold Chain product and solution commercialization efforts that demonstrate success via measurable outcomes linked to financial and business objectives.
Direct Cold Chain marketing communications and industry stewardship in North America, and harmonize global initiatives.  
Responsibilities
The Vice President - Cold Chain Marketing must be a proven, highly effective leader with demonstrated business and team efficacy. With over 10 years of B2B marketing experience, and a deep knowledge of commercialization, he/she will have proven experience in driving strategy, executing strategic and marketing communications and brand initiatives and delivering commercial success. Strategy 

Establish strategic marketing direction, including defining what the Cold Chain is and does. Partner with the vertical marketing leaders to develop a holistic go-to-market plan. 
Create a leading market position within each vertical market and develop the capabilities needed to create implementable market strategies including segmentation, solution and product market proposals and pricing strategy. 
Drive alignment with our product-focused Solutions organization on commercial strategy. Build business case and rationale for prioritizing product development roadmap across verticals. 
Lead branding and customer experience initiatives, including marketing communications.
Lead alignment with Cold Chain global marketing leadership council, to continue development of consistent cold chain message/experience across North America, and in communication with Cold Chain global teams, the Commercial & Residential Solutions group, and Emerson corporate marketing.
Execution 


Partner with each Vertical Market leader to develop a viable and pragmatic go-to-market strategy, and execute measurable commercial activities to deliver plan results. 

Enable and support commercial, vertical market team execution on product and solution programs, instilling best practices and disciplined accountability for key program items and milestones. 

Align marketing tasks, messaging, and campaigns with key initiatives across the cold chain to maximize exposure and effectiveness of the team. 

Create process for alignment and distributed work on integrated marketing communication tasks including trade shows, digital marketing, advertising and lead generation, websites, collateral, sponsorships and similar work.

Directly manage and lead all integrated marketing activities across all media and environments. 

Implement our CRM and overall digital customer experience plan across Cold Chain. 

Implement our market research priorities and tasks.
Understanding


Align all Cold Chain and Solutions staff around a common, Cold Chain vision. 

Engage directly with customers and industry, from C-suite to technician. 

Prioritize and support market, customer, solution and product research. 

Capture current product directions and near to medium-term product and solution needs.
 
Additional Information

 Travel: 40-75%, depending on tasks at hand
 Position Location: Sidney/Dayton, Ohio or Atlanta, Georgia. ','!*!Requirements


Ten plus (10 ) years product, marketing, or strategic leadership in a B2B environment including 5 years' experience in commercialization or product marketing.

Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand technical products and solutions and work with engineers responsible for them. 

Marketing or technical undergraduate degree preferred. 

MBA or equivalent business experience with strong financial and analytical competency. 

Direct staff leadership, as well as leadership experience and demonstrated efficacy in a highly matrixed enterprise environment. 

Strong communication skills and an ability to hold conversations with executives and line workers. 

Strong work ethic and ability to work both with teams and independently.
