Position SummaryHire Heroes USA (HHUSA) is seeking a strategic, charismatic, mission-driven leader to serve as the next CEO. The CEO will build on the organization\u2019s successful track record connecting veterans and military spouses to employment opportunities using a rigorous, data-driven approach while providing personalized support.\u00a0The CEO will be responsible for designing and guiding the vision and strategy for the organization and following through to ensure it is operationalized and executed successfully. Additionally, s/he will lead efforts to diversify funding, build partnerships with a diverse group of key stakeholders, continually improve processes, manage a national team, and serve with integrity as the public face of the organization.\u00a0The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a demonstrated passion for serving military veterans, has experience crafting organizational strategy, and excellent relationship building skills. Further, s/he must be a team builder, effective communicator, and can efficiently manage operations.\u00a0About Hire Heroes USAHHUSA empowers U.S. military members, veterans and military spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce. Since inception, HHUSA has maintained a singular focus\u00a0on veteran and military spouse employment.\u00a0HHUSA provides free career coaching and job sourcing to\u00a0hundreds\u00a0of transitioning U.S. military members, veterans and military spouses each week.\u00a0To date, HHUSA has confirmed\u00a0more than\u00a022,000\u00a0veterans and military spouses\u00a0hired\u00a0into\u00a0careers.\u00a0As a national nonprofit, HHUSA has 7 offices across the U.S. with a headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.\u00a0Responsibilities\u00a0\r
Vision and Strategy:\u00a0Lead HHUSA\u2019s strategic direction; collaborate with Board, staff, and key stakeholders to set clear, data-driven goals and achieve HHUSA\u2019s mission.\r
Team Leadership and Culture:\u00a0Provide inspirational leadership and continue to build upon HHUSA\u2019s collaborative culture that promotes growth, learning, and accountability.\r
Development:\u00a0Maintain existing funder relationships and implement expanded funding strategies that generate new revenue from various sources including individual gifts, corporate partners, online platforms, and other non-traditional sources to ensure organizational sustainability and growth.\r
Communications:\u00a0Serve as HHUSA\u2019s principal spokesperson and passionate advocate as well as the veterans the organization serves.\r
Board Engagement:\u00a0Collaborate with board members on organizational decision-making and recruit new board members to ensure diverse perspectives.\r
Operations and Financial Management:\u00a0Oversee the successful execution of HHUSA\u2019s day-to-day operations, including effective financial management, reporting, and compliance. The CFO and COO will both report to the CEO.\r
Strong connection to the military and a demonstrated passion for serving veterans\r
Experience in a senior leadership role with a demonstrated ability to manage the strategic, operational, and human capital needs of a national nonprofit\r
Experienced in fundraising, sales, or business development \u00a0\u00a0\r
Demonstrated ability to find, retain, and cultivate strong collaborative partnerships\r
Comfort navigating and leading in a systematic, data-driven, results-oriented environment\r
Transparent and collaborative communication style\r
High level of integrity and critical decision-making skills\r
Positive, team-oriented leadership style\r
Exceptional public speaking skills that communicate confidence and humility\r
