Managing Director /SVP- Assistant Treasurer - New York

Role/Responsibilities

Partner with the Treasurer to build and maintain strong relationships with key financial institutions, credit rating agencies and fixed income investors to support continued access to capital markets; Assist in the development and recommendation of long-term financing strategies and direct activities related to issuance of short- and long-term debt, including refinancing and any derivatives connected to these transactions; Manage the company's commercial paper program; Oversee global cash management activities, including bank account management, investments and cash flow forecasting; Research, develop and recommend policy for the company's financial risk management programs, including Fx risk, counterparty credit risk, interest rate risk and liquidity risk; oversee risk management programs in accordance with policies; Oversee all intercompany Treasury activities, including intercompany loan and dividend transactions; coordinate with the tax, accounting and legal teams in developing cash repatriation plans; Oversee due diligence and prepare funding plans for the company's corporate development activities; oversee integration of acquisitions; Partner with the Treasurer and cash management team leads to design, document and ensure Treasury operations are conducted in compliance with policies and procedures that meet internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; Coordinate with HR, Asset Management Committee and Management Benefits Compensation Committee to direct the company's asset allocation in the defined benefit plan; Chair the Enterprise Risk Management finance sub-committee, identify key risks and develop and track mitigation plans; Coordinate and support execution of relevant corporate finance activities with ICRA CFO; Play a supporting role in the research, development and implementation of systems and processes for various Treasury activities with the objectives of enhancing financial and operational controls, lowering operational costs and improving process efficiencies; Manage team of approximately 15 treasury professionals across company's global operations; advise the Treasurer on the planning, selection, retention, and development of human capital to ensure Treasury has the appropriate global resources and succession plans.

Qualifications

Minimum of undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline; Graduate degree and/or Certified Treasury Professional credential strongly preferred; Minimum of five years of business experience in treasury management, commercial banking or capital markets role; Strong knowledge of capital markets, banking services, pension management, share repurchase programs, accounting and internal controls, derivatives valuation and documentation (including ISDA), and legal contracts; Strong understanding of foreign exchange and experience in designing and implementing a hedging program for medium-to-large multinational corporation; Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional team projects; Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Supervisory experience for projects or functional teams.

Department/Team

Role: The MD/SVP, Assistant Treasurer is responsible for many aspects of the company's cash and debt management, including capital raising efforts, share repurchase programs, rating agency and banking relationships, and foreign exchange and interest rate risk management. Additional responsibilities include leadership of treasury operations, treasury policy documentation and compliance, and various other functions.
