Executive Director, Financial Planning Analytics and Finance Operations','181885','Full-time','Day','Director / Executive','California-Santa Rosa','','!*!St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare is calling for an Executive Director, Financial Planning Analytics and Finance Operations to Anaheim, CA.
Overall responsibility for St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare’s capital and medical group operating budgets / forecasts across all regions and geographies. Additionally, this position will oversee all revenue cycle and revenue optimization across all regions and geographies. The Executive Director, directly assists the Heritage CFO with analysis and presentation in a variety of areas of finance and operations, including productivity benchmarking and monitoring, financial improvement planning and monitoring, new business ventures, physician partnerships and strategic planning and decision making. The Executive Director partners with with Medical Group, Regional and Ministry leadership teams for management and Board reporting.
The Executive Director oversees 3 Service Areas finance operations teams, the overall financial planning team, and the revenue optimization team across all regions under St. Joseph Heritage Healtcare. This roles requires deep understanding of all aspects of Medical Group financial operations and financial planning. Partners with regional and service area CFOs to deliver on operating budgets and plans.

The following are essential job accountabilities:
Assists the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring and effective utilization of the financial resources of St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.
Lead operating and capital budget process for SJHH, including the Medical Groups and Shared Services functions
Leads and oversees all revenue cycle and revenue optimization activities across all Heritage regions and geographies
Works closely and collaborates with the Heritage Executive Director of Managed Care Finance and with the departmental management teams in planning and implementing coordinated “regional and ministry” wide strategies and goals.
Work closely with accounting to understand budget assumptions to ensure appropriate variance analysis is performed on a monthly basis.
Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for productivity improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement initiatives that support the organization’s strategic and financial goals.
Gives input for establishing strategic goals and priorities based on organizational needs assessment.
Ensure the career/work development, cross training, and succession planning among the members of the team.
Prepare and present various presentations to Board and executive management teams at the medical group and Heritage Board
Partner with functional leads within shared services to identify best practices and operational efficiencies
Prepares and presents information for trustees and other internal and external groups in support of the financial, strategic and operational performance.
Develops and enhances accurate and reliable regional standardized financial analyses and reports.
Coordinates development of pro formas and projections for new business ventures and partnerships, proposed operational changes and strategies to enable decision making and budgeting.
Supports and implements other financial, analytic and operational projects as identified by the CFO.','!*!Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree required. MBA or CPA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years finance experience and/or relevant healthcare experience; staff supervision experience.
