PRIMARY PURPOSE: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the sales team to obtain the maximum profitable sales for Communications products. It is also to ensure active communication and coordination with the product business units and support functions (such as customer service and pricing), to assure that Hubbell resources are properly aligned for success, and that the sales team's actions are geared toward bringing significant and visible value to the entire organization. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Significantly increase sales for Communications products. Lead and motivate field sales employees Assure individual accountability for identifying, tracking, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities. Work closely with peer functions to assure sales force is meeting organization needs and providing value. Maintain personal contact with significant customers Develop annual sales and marketing objectives. Co-develop sales tools with marketing team Provide monthly forecasts and activity reporting. Develop and execute distributor strategies. Develop alliance accounts and large sales contracts Provide input to NPD development in terms of needed product, voice of customer, price points, etc Assist marketing with feedback, marketing campaigns, distributor marketing, etc. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Located in Columbia, South Carolina. Must have the ability to travel on business related trips (50% travel). RECOMMENDED BACKGROUND: A BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Design Fields, Engineering or other related disciplines preferred. At least 5 - 10 () years of sales experience requiring extensive interpersonal relationship building is strongly preferred. Management experience is preferred.
