Job Title: RVP of Sales

Travel: approximately 50% within assigned region

Job Description

RVP Sales are business and revenue leaders in their assigned territory. After training, you will assume the charge of educating school boards and district administrators about the innovative ways in which they can create a culture of customer service in their school communities. Ability to present and deliver thought leadership in individual or group settings is critical.

As your region’s sales manager and a company leader, you’re responsible for building relationships and guiding leads through the consultative sales process of K12 Insight’s strategic solutions. Additionally, you will work closely with a Strategic Account Executive and implementation team to help manage, solidify and grow client relationships throughout your territory. This role is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Responsibilities



  • Build trust—in everything you do, you operate with integrity


  • Research issues—closely follow school district news and insider developments in your territory around critical issues such as school choice, strategic planning, boundary changes, etc.


  • Cultivate relationships—listen and learn from administrators about their challenges and opportunities


  • Nurture relationships—share relevant stories of the successes of K12 Insight’s clients with administrators in your territory and do so without applying undue sales pressure on your prospects




Special Skills/Training



  • 5-plus years of successful process-driven, consultative sales experience


  • Experience and familiarity in working with public school districts


  • Ability to think critically and creatively to address client needs


  • Familiarity with the public school landscape in a given region
