CFO Jobs
A CFO is primarily responsible for the management of his or her company’s finances and for providing leadership in all financial operations. Other responsibilities for a CFO position include oversight of the budget, investments, audits, accounting, payrolls, taxes, credit, and cash flow; the establishment and maintenance of fiscal controls; preparing and interpreting financial reports; human resources management; ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; and coordinating with the finance director and other employees. The CFO reports directly to the CEO.
A successful applicant will typically have a bachelor's degree, in addition to a CPA or CMA and prior experience as a controller/financial leader. Applicants with experience working as a controller, vice president of finance, financial manager, senior manager, or executive manager are most likely to be eligible for CFO posts.
